about

This track began taking shape while I was working on music for a commercial video. I felt that it wouldn't belong to the upcoming full-length Soundery album stylistically and yet it had some of the Viridian feel, so I decided to record and release it as a standalone single.

Musically, it was quite an experiment for me, as I hadn't written any songs with electronic stuff before, and also it's the first time I've ever worked with an 8-string guitar sound.

Lyrically, it represents that hopeless feeling when you've made some shitty choices in a relationship, and you reflect back on it, knowing you can't really save it anymore. Morale? Treasure your loved ones.

lyrics

I remember what I said
My words were empty
And I tried to forget it all
As I looked into your eyes
Their fire was dying
Just like your love

And I still I wonder
What if you stayed with me
After all I’ve done, all I’ve said
After all you’ve seen?

I remember all those times
I know it’s crazy
But I cherished every single one
As I looked into the sky
The stars were dying
Is it the end of us?

I remember what I said
My words were empty
